Headcanon

Riddler built himself a robot cat when he first began dabbling in robotics and artificial intelligence. He lacked a few crucial parts, however, so instead of purring, the cat made a hideous grinding noise. There was also a bug in the programming he never quite got around to ironing out that caused the cat to randomly meow and purr simultaneously, then just fall to the floor. He named it Glitch, and ultimately kept it around for about a year and a half before a lightning storm fried it on its charging station one night.

“It’s backwards and unnatural, and it’s gotta be stopped.” //Edward

“What is?  This?”  Eddie gestured toward the robot that was currently building another robot for him.  “I mean, yeah, it’s a little odd, I guess, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it unnatural...  I’m just using technology to help me get things done a little faster, is all.”

“Are you drunk? Have you even been drunk before?” //ya know what? Eddie Nygma

“I....  ‘F course I’ve been drunk before!  I fight a man dressed like a chiroptera on a regular basis!”  Eddie’s steps keeled sharply to the left as he spoke, staggering along.  “Why do you care?  You know him?”

“It’s a window.  I am about to choke to death on cigar smoke over here, Cobblepot, your club is killing my precious brain cells!”  And oh, they were far more precious than the Penguin’s, that was certain.

“Surely a little fresh air won’t hurt any of us every now and again, now would it?  Honestly, if you’re going to ask for my help taking out Batman, which I can assume is the only plausible reason why I would be here tonight, you could at least try to be a little more accommodating.”

Edward chuckled, a smirk crossing his lips.  “Of course, Harley. Because you know so much about pride.”  He paused.  “I can only assume by ‘we,’ that you’re referring to yourself and....  Hmm...  Well, there’s no one else here.  And here I thought you were supposed to be smart....  Obviously not as smart as me, but then again, who is?”

He rolled his eyes.  “I wouldn’t know, Kitty Cat...  A simple mind such as yours would never suspect me of being a man with needs and desires, as a woman stands before me in a skintight leather suit?”

He stopped himself from saying more-- there came the nerves again, and oh god he was going to vomit.
