When Blaine first accepted Coach Sylvester’s request to join the Cheerios, he thought he was going to hate it, the training regime was brutal and while he was able to keep up, it didn’t really leave him with much time for anything else. He eventually started looking for ways of quitting or getting thrown off the team, so that he could go back to living his life again, enjoying his Senior Year the way he was supposed to.
But then Mark had joined the football team and everything changed.
Being on the Cheerios, it pushed him just that little bit closer to the latest jock to walk McKinley’s hallways, they ran in the same social circle now, and it was no secret that Blaine was positively giddy whenever they so much as sat close together. He had it bad, and everyone could see it, everyone other than Mark it seemed, who was absolutely oblivious to Blaine and his advances.
With the big game coming up, Blaine promised himself that this was his final chance to get Mark’s attention, to get him to look at him, the same way the other football players looked at the other Cheerios. Things were quiet at first, cheering along with the rest of the squad, though he did get a little louder once Mark caught the ball, put the Titan’s in the lead, flashing a bright smile when he was sure that Mark wasn’t looking. Okay, so maybe he could keep this crush to himself just a little longer...
