When was the last time he stretched or walked? Gods, he couldn’t even remember. Must have been a month at least. How long has be processing this queue? Feels like forever.

   “I’ll just wait it out. I ignore it for long enough, it’ll go away!”

Eurydice hums, thinking on the question. 

“Thanks, hun, but what’s there to talk about? My story is old, and it’s sad. But most importantly..” She turned to Dusa and placed a soft hand on her cheek, thumb gently stroking under her eye. 

“It’s over. It happened, and it hurt and I can’t change that. I don’t want to either. I won’t pretend it didn’t happen, but I’m not going to linger on it either. Sometimes, that hurt comes back, yeah. Rises up with old memories, but you’ve got to let it go.”

She offers the younger woman a smile.

“I won’t let the past blind me from the present.”

Zagreus chuckles hollowly, bow posed at the ready. He’s not exactly sure why he agreed to participate in this bet from a conversation that he wasn’t even involved in, but to be fair the only thing at risk was his own pride and bragging rights and the potential of being mocked by the Olympians for the rest of eternity so-- Why not, right?

“Well I’m glad you do! No really- It makes me feel better about ALL of this. Your faith that is, Artemis. I suppose now would be a bad time to tell you that I’m perhaps the worst archer in the entire Underworld, huh?”

Apollo squinted, unsure he could actually believe her promise despite her confidence. It's been a while since they spent this much time together and admittedly he was thrilled to revisit his roots but out of everyone, Apollo liked to think he knew Artemis best regardless of whether or not she actually agreed with him and she has ALWAYS been stubborn. It was only natural that he found her act of kindness a little ... suspicious. Not to say the Goddess couldn't be nice but it was rare she did so unprompted.

      Maybe he was just used to her being reserved and/or standoffish.

Perhaps he should trust her. He didn't want to disrespect her gentler side so long as she was willing to show it. "For once, you mean?" He chuckled, seeing no harm in jest. "Alright sister, I'll play along. Show me what's so important."
