           Carmine eyes widen in surprise. Frankly, from all that she’s heard of him, the expression on his face shows nothing of the nightmare he was painted as. She prided herself on being able to discern what was fake and what was genuine. The shimmer of mismatched eyes after showing surprise, disbelief, and then some... the quiver of thin lips and the defensive posture he took, as if afraid that the present given would disappear if he does not hold on to it vigilantly... those are... those are genuine.  

           ❝ You’re welcome, ❞ she says, uncharacteristically unsure of what else she could do. Her fingers twitch at her side. Decisions, decisions. She sighs internally. Did she really even have a choice? One of her hand raises slowly as if not to spook the other. Before she can retract her decision, she begins to pat his head gently.

Kakyoin watches the young girl (or, what passes for one, whatever she wishes to be called) occupy herself with chattering and the pencils + sketch paper he’s loaned her. There’s not too much he knows about kids, so why he’s amusing this one is rather a mystery. But she’s interesting, which makes up for it.

“For an ability, you certainly have a lot of personality.”

The word for her is the borrowed one, picked to mimic the phrase she was introduced with. He’s not used to the idea of stands abilities that are autonomous but fully capable of pursuing their own interests and, from the sound of it, not caring in the slightest what their progenitor is up to. Huh.

   it will take some time for tsujimura to find him, ayatsuji deduces. he’s far enough from where they had originally been, and there were no snipers or government agents in the area who had noticed him as he slipped away from the scene. he decides to take the time to sit on a bench and enjoy a smoke, though finds himself surprised for about half a second when a child takes a cheerful seat next to him, legs swaying to and fro.

   strange apparel for a lone child, but it’s none of his concern. the detective allows his gaze to lower further, studying the grotesque doll they’re hugging to their chest. it reminds him he’s carrying misaki today as well.   “  ... the doll you have there is nice. did you make it?  ”   /   @museobsession.

it’s rare that she gets a day off. and it physically pains aya to have to stay inside on such a beautiful day, when the sun shines like french vanilla ice-cream, when the air is crisp and cold, when she could be wandering around the town instead of being stuck at headquarters to catch up on her studies. 

she’s in the library, curled up in an armchair, poring thoughtfully over the book she’s supposed to read for her english lesson — she’s still on the first page, reading the same sentence over and over — when the boy walks in.

bile scorches a path up her throat. aya isn’t stupid — she knows that she isn’t the only child port mafia took in — but it’s still incredibly jarring to her frame of mind, to see someone around her age wandering the halls. he’s an unfamiliar face; more often than not, she’s out on solo missions, and she hasn’t really worked with many members of the port mafia. so she stares for a quick second, committing that cherubic face to memory, but soon drops her gaze back to the worn, dog-eared copy of her novel before she can come off as being rude.

“natsume-san!! i was just thinking about you!”  how opportune, for him to catch the other while he’s in the process of putting on his coat and scarf to leave the main building. school is over with, and everyone is heading their separate ways, but madara has other plans in store.  “do you have any plans? if not, how about we go christmas shopping together?”   /   @museobsession.

Lisabeth was in front of a cutesy little shop, golden eyes just staring through the window. She seemed rather unsure, as she played around with the cross around her neck. She certainly liked such things, but how long would it take her to look around inside there? She had no idea! Though... standing in front of this shop certainly did not help. She had to go back to work and shop ingedients for the dinner of tonight!

A soft sigh left her lips, and hand adjusted her jacket. Maybe sometime when she is allowed a break, then she could visit this shop. She’ll make a mental note do to so instead of going to the library.

The maid turned away from the window, and decided to go and take care of the shopping. Though eyes were drawn to particular figure across the street. Somewhat she couldn’t shake off the feeling that the person had been looking at her. Was she growing paranoid?

           Peeking into a room in hopes it was empty to potentially practice in, Mika nearly dropped his messenger bag and fainted as he had a glimpse of several lit candles and some strange symbols strewn on the floorboards. Immediately slamming the door shut and leaning on the wall next to it, he felt his heart pounding hard in absolute terror. Since when did they have witches in the school?!

             Sure there was that Ritsu guy who talked about black magic sometimes, but he just figured it was that whole act he and his brother seemed to put on, but those were definitely too many candles and symbols to be anything but a ritual. He had seen too many horror films to not recognize it as such, and he had walked in on it holy shit, he was gonna die!!
