Mycohearted (mushroomhearted) culture is seeing a patch of mushrooms growing on a decaying tree stump and knowing they are your family
💛
8 and 11 for the hearttype asks?
8.) Are you a "deep longing to be", "deep admiration and empathy for", "ideal self", "should have been", and/or other experience 'hearted person?
Actually, for both of our confirmed hearttypes, the most fitting category would be "they feel like family / loved ones"! We are collectively pigeonhearted and mycohearted. Our pigeon hearttype is largely psychological, as we imprinted on them in early childhood. We are able to understand their body language, and feel that same warmth one feels when around their loved ones. (3 of us are also raptor therians, so pigeons are also 'literally' our relatives as well).
Mycohearted (mushroomhearted) is... a bit more complicated? This is more strongly tied into our metaphysical beliefs - particularly with regards to our main alien kintype and how the P0LYBIUS network operates. For more context we would recommend reading into how mycorrhizal network works! The gist is that mushrooms and other fungus are connected in a massive, underground network that operates much like a sort of consciousness.
That's an... oversimplification to say the least. But the point is that we perceive ourselves as being able to connect with the network in such a way that we can feel and communicate with mycelium. And while we aren't a type of fungus ourselves, we do see them as family!
11.) Any hearttypes you're questioning at the moment?
While we have confirmed our pigeon hearttype, we are questioning being otherhearted with several domestic birds. Chickens, parakeets, etc. We certainly feel a strong bond and admiration towards them!
In general we go back and forth on whether certain theriotypes are actually hearttypes and vice versa. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference!
We also don't know where to categorize certain -types due to our plurality! I.e. we feel a kinship with moths, but that's likely because we now have a moth-like system member! So the lines can definitely get blurry.
