Milford Sound has been a quiet peaceful breakaway from wifi (and the digital world) and the crowds at Queenstown. Here, we rented old school dvds from the lodge and stargaze at night (best night shot i could take on my iPhone) with a view of the Miltre Peak backdrop outside our chalet. And in the morning, we enjoyed a hot coffee watching the sunrise and the light rays dancing on the mountain peaks. On the way to Milford Sound, we also stopped by Mirrors Lake, and we were fortunate to have good weather and calming waters to witness a nice reflection of the lake. I highly recommend to try the Hashbrown Stack at Sandfly Cafe in Te Anau, a small town between Queenstown and Milford Sound.
