First on his build "to do" list was performance and he wanted his creation to be quick and fast so he had a 302 built and balanced with a complete roller assembly, flat top pistons, performance intake with four barrel carb, long tube headers, etc., that would be running somewhere between 300 and 350 h.p. It was mated to a brand new 5 speed Tremec with new 4:11 gears installed in the rear end while, he was having the entire rear axle rebuilt. What one gets when they combine the 5 speed Tremec with the 4:11 rear end gear ratio is a car that is quick off the line but can still do 70 mph. at 2300 rpm. Read the full article
