Mustang problems.
Currently having problems figuring out how to get more power out of the piece of shit inline 6 200ci they put in the 1967 mustang.
PROBLEMS:
It only gets 105hp. (With only 4 gears, one being reverse.)
Heat from the exhaust gets sucked right up by the intake. (Hot air is bad for power)
The carburetor is a shitty 1 barrel that is very poor at distributing fuel and air to the whole engine.
The exhaust doesn't let out enough gasses.
The head and intake manifold are 1 piece, so merely upgrading the carburetor to a 2bbl requires a replacement of the entire head and intake. (2k)
The distributor doesn't draw enough electricity for efficient burning.
The car is only worth like 2-3 grand. So figuring out what upgrades are worth it is a challenge. Currently considering dual exhaust and a new ignition system. That will probably be close to a grand on it's own. :l
PS. I'm not going to be like everyone else with a classic mustang and just toss in a V8. I'm also not going to ruin the sound quality of a classic by throwing in a turbo/super charger.
