When Pepper saw talent in someone, she was always quick to make sure to find out as much as she could about them. Call it paranoia , but over time and having to deal with Tony’s and the other Avengers many ‘nice guy or gal turned into super villains’ instances-the CEO made it a point to thoroughly background check anyone she was even considering helping. Piper’s background check had been a wild read from start to finish with too many important blank spaces to count. She was a runaway who was then placed into the foster system, and had a criminal record with for small thefts and truancy. If anyone from the board found out that Pepper wanted to hire her or grant the girl an internship after reading this they would call her her crazy and think the divorce must have knocked all common sense out of her.
Good thing she never really cared what people said after she married Tony. Piper didn’t have any affiliations to any other major company that was blacklisted and put on a ‘do not hire from’ list, and no known records of her preforming villainous acts in the Avengers data base either. Going to the outdoor area where she met Piper the first time all those months ago with two cups of coffee and food, Pepper hoped she would run into the girl or at least find someone who would know where she was. @mutanthacker
