We've found autopsy reports deep inside TandemNET on Jason and Celine, previous years' "winners" of the Search for the Gifted. Here's page 1 of Jason's report, which suggests he was killed by "Hypernatremia" -- i.e. they over-taxed his water manipulation abilities until he died of dehydration.
