So many people asked how Mute became who he was. Here is pretty much his life. The silent part, hope this helped out. He was silent for a long time because his body had to recover and reproduce a new voice from the damage :)

The colour change- he bleached his body as a way to remove himself from the “hey it’s bendy”. As it just reminds him of the shit back in his studio. He adopted the name Mute and just stuck with it even when his voice recovered. He prefer’s to be called Mute and only his Boris can refer to him as his original name.
