Martin comenta al respecto: "La primera pista que grabé tenía un sonido que no era humano. Sonaba como un primate. Decidí llamarlo 'Howler', por un mono. Luego, cuando llegó el momento de nombrar el EP, recordé haber leído el libro 'The Rise and Fall of the Third Chimpanzee'. Todo hizo Tiene sentido llamarlo así, ya que el EP lo hizo uno de los terceros chimpancés". .
