Well golly! Another Warren and Ron? Well ain't that somethin! I reckon you two are easy to spot in a sea of turtles...sea turtles? Well anyways I don't know if you two know your me, but I know you so I thought I'd offer some lemonade!

“Do we know you?” Warren accepted his glass graciously with a quiet thank you, passing the other to a distracted Ron who’d started to engage in conversation with, oh, another version of himself. “I think you’re the only capybara man here.”

“Oh, ya haven’t met me in your universe yet!” The capybara put his hand out expectantly. “Never too late to befriend ya again! The name’s Todd!”

Warren used his free hand to shake Todd’s. “It’s nice to meet you. You seem so familiar but I can’t put my finger on it.” He sipped his lemonade as he thought on it, feeling a tap on his shoulder from Ron, now cloaked.

“He was the man who officiated our wedding, luv.”

“Oh!” Warren tossed back the rest of his glass, avoiding eye contact. “Sorry…”

“It’s alright! It wasn’t like it was me!” Todd chuckled as he started to walk off. “By the way, you’ve got a bit of a line of gifts to go through.”

“What?” But it was too late, Todd had moved on and in his spot was a long line of turtles bearing gifts. “Eugh boy.”

How'd y'all decided to start a bar instead of anything else?

Welp! This ask was the perfect way to start up a comic on how Mutinis actually started, so thank you anon! I really love Warren as a comedic relief character, he's so silly and fun. Sometimes though I think of how tragic it must be to go from someone that was loved by so many to forgotten in a moment, and how the realization no one actually gave a shit about your existence must be devastating.

Repo Mantis lore for Mutinis~!

Anyways *coughs* Time for mutini Repo stuff-

His real name is Mateo King

He's 38

Mateos Italian American, and originally from California his parents moved to the U.S.

Mateo is no contact with his parents, but is in contact with his youngest sibling. Hes the oldest of three.

Due to the falling out with his family he became an emancipated minor at 16

Mateo is a gay trans man

Mateo has an adopted son named Kin (pronounced Keen) whose a yokai! He's 15 going on 16. He'll be introduced officially in ch6

Mateo and Kin have an extremely healthy relationship and one of the best parent-child relationships in the fic. Kin basically trusts his dad with everything.

He's really good with cars, and electronics!

His home is a double-wide trailer in his scrap yard! He takes very good care of it and switches out the under-pining constantly, (If you've also lived in a trailer u know under-pining is a bitch! :D)

He's a bit of a hoarder and has hoarding tendencies but is in therapy to help with that especially due to having a child and understanding the dangers of hoarding + taking care of a child can bring. While he had hoarding tendencies pre-mutation it got worse post mutation as a coping method.

More lore for this AU

Heya! While working on the AU I'd like to share more lore!

-Humans know yokai existed, but believe them to be extinct. In human eyes, yokai were powerful monsters who were chased away by ancient humans. This is mainly here to give more reason to Draxums own backstory as he eventually plays a major role in the AU. According to the Rise Wiki humans drove yokai underground. (Expect Undertale references lmao)

-There are multiple hidden cities across the world. Powerful yokai can teleport to different cities. Weaker yokai need the help of public portals, airships, boats, and carriages.

-Weak yokai, or yokai without a cloaking broach physically can not leave a hidden city. This is due to mystic powers from ancient humans preventing them from leaving. The only bypasses are being incredibly powerful such as Draxum, or having a cloaking broach. As such cloaking broaches are a rare and expensive item. Additionally, if their broach is stolen they can't renter a hidden city.

-The humans turned into mutants by Draxum have significantly higher strength/are more durable/live longer. However, they also suffer from the fact the greatest flaw becomes escalated. I.E: Meat Sweats became much crueler, Mantis became much more greedy, and Warren became much more egotistical.

-Some yokai straight up don't think humans are real/the surface world is fiction much like how humans think yokai are extinct. Many yokai treat humans like we treat Santa or the tooth fairy.

-The battle nexus has expanded lore, I don't want to get to much into it for spoiler reasons but there is a reason for it's existence!
