Hello all and welcome to the Empire Wastes AU! A fan iteration of TMNT that takes place in the universe of Fallout! This series will be a fanfic along with some art coming soon- This series is it’s own iteration but takes heavy inspiration from 2003, Rise, and Mutant Mayhem!

Plot: Born and raised in Vault 16 Raphael had always thought of leaving the vault to see the world, though for his families sake never did. That is until one night awoken by alarms he discovers his brothers left to meet up with mysterious woman known as “K”. Unfortunately for them the siblings would be kidnapped by a group of raiders known as the Purple Dragons.

With no one else willing, Raphael ventured the remains of New York now known as the Empire Wastes along with the help of a local scavver named Kin whose hunting down the same raiders in search of his father.

Little do they know that the tattered remains of a certain brotherhood and their charred elder seek to claim the Empire Wastes as their own.

- Are there any AUs you weren't familiar with that have recently caught your attention, or that you would like to learn more about?

- What are some AUs/fanworks that you enjoy, and would encourage more people to go check out? (Doesn't have to be in the comp!)

Hi there! I actually wasn’t to familiar with any AUs outside things like Cass Apocalypse and Little Prince since I’m fairly new to the fandom! Im actively interested in several! Dee-evolution, Mutation Situation, Sidelined, Snapper Lou to name a few.

As for one I suggest others look at? I’ll always tell people to read @olliethescribes No Crime, Only Brooches AU. It’s fantastic if you like Warren Stone and Hypno-Potamus since they’re the MCs. It explorers their characters super well, and everything feels in character but fresh at the same time!

I also suggest anything I listed above as well-

surprise! It's the Mutinis turtles! I thought it'd be fun giving them realistic colors/markings based on the real-world turtles they are!

A bit of info

Mikey 5'3" He/him 14 Likes to paint his spots different colors

Raph 6'1 He/they 16 Hand sews everyones masks when they need a replacement Leo 5'7 She/her (Leos transfem!) 15 She sharpied eyeshadow onto her mask, after seeing Donnie sharpie eyebrows onto his.

Donnie 5'5 He/They/It 15 They still need glasses in this AU. They also paint everyones nails, you can't see it but everyones nails are painted to match their mask colors!

As promised heres a preview of some Mutinis designs for the next chapter! For Rupert I wanted to make him have a snout and tusks. I also gave him his hair back, since pigs are actually really hairy.

For Ghostbear I gave him a casual outfit for when he's not in the Nexus. He does still prefer to wear his mask in public, since he prefers keeping his personal life and the Ghostbear persona separate. I also got the idea from @hostdoozy to make his eyes have a gray/ghostly tone and add more ghostliness over all to the design!

oH WOW! I checked ao3 this morning and we jumped to 81 hits! This fic was at like 16 when we entered the tmntau comp! We may not have made it past the prelims but I wanna thank everyone who voted for us! Seriously 91 people? That's genuinely wild! I appreciate every single one of you- I'm happy to have competed too, I'm gonna use this time to say keep voting for @olliethescribes No Crime, Only Brooches AU in the main bracket!

Go check out my friend’s work! No Crime, Only Brooches is a Rise of the Tmnt au where Ron (Hypno) and Warren find cloaking brooches and don’t end up becoming villains. They have to balance being mutants with their regular lives and also become uncle figures to the turtles :]

just put all aus in a big room and let them run amok

maybe some of the aus can sell some merch from their aus, all the Mikeys selling art and taking commissions, Donnies are all trying to out build each other

panels on what to do in certain aus like "What To Do If Your Mutant Turtle Brother Goes Feral" or "Apocalypse Survival 101" or "Defenstration and You"

separated au therapy sessions, play areas for any tots that come along, April O'Neil meetup, an arcade room of course some of these kids desperately need to be socialized lol
