charles grins warmly over the rim of his old fashioned glass. the glass is a family heirloom, as is the scotch within it. charles received a few dozen bottles of the scotch along with his late father’s effects. he typically likes to safeguard it for special occasions. but what rarer an occasion than this; erik coming to him as a friend, a temporary olive branch of peace between them. after all, charles is of the opinion that good scotch is meant to be shared.
sliding his hand into the bottom drawer of his desk, charles places another glass upon the table, light shining through the intricately carved patterns on the surface of the glass beautifully. he pours a sizable amount of scotch in the glass and pushes it gently towards the other.
