You guys KNOW what day it is!! Black Food Friday!!! Tonight was epic. We dined at @oyopleasanton and we brought Chihiro the Red! Chef and Founder Maurice Dissels specializes in Guyanese cuisine and he is spectacular. We started with the Calypso Ceviche and Beef Patty. Then I had OxTail Stew with butter beans and dumplings and Vlad had the Oyo Pepper Pot which was braised short rib and salt pork. We finished with their trio of ice creams (coconut, red wine raspberry, and mint lime sorbet) topped with trinia kurma (almost like a Jamaican churro for my fellow Latinas). It was...*chefs kiss* we sat outside and were serenaded by a live band. It was such a great date night (as you can see, Vlad got all the love for driving and sharing his Pepper Pot).
