Whumptober Day 19: Bitten
Serana tried to not feel nervous as Muz-Lari sat cross-legged on the floor, facing her mother’s books.
She was being honest when she told the young dragonborn that she would respect her decision on how to enter the soul cairn. And she would. But she couldn’t help but feel…something at the thought of turning Muz-Lari into a vampire.

Title: Watery Interlude #12: At The Abadoned Cabin
Characters: Muz-Lari (argonian dragonborn oc), Astrid (unnamed), Serana
Rating: G/T
Muz-Lari bared her teeth at the assassin.
For a moment, she thought about Shouting the bitch apart and taking the cabin key from her corpse. But she could still hear the storm and Shouts from the fighting dragons outside. She knew if she started Shouting, they would see it as a challenge and bring her into their dominance match. And with no armor or weapons, she wasn’t sure if she’d last long enough to get away.
She wasn’t sure if she would want to get away.
Ignoring that thought, Muz-Lari covered her teeth. Her orange eyes narrowed on the woman in front of her.
“I’m pretty sure you noticed that I don’t have a weapon on me.”
She spread her arms to emphasize her point.
The assassin chuckled. “Don’t worry. You can borrow mine.”
She threw a curved dagger towards the earth colored argonian.
Muz-Lari caught the dagger. She stared at the assassin for a second longer before she looked away to examine the dagger. She spun it in her hand and tested its curved edge for sharpness.
It will do.
She then turned her head to the three bound occupants in the room. Two nords, a male and female, and a male khajiit.
Best get this over with.
Serana walked around the edge of Windstad manor. Muz-Lari had been gone for hours and no one knew where she had gone. No one was willing to say it, yet, but they were all growing concerned. Where was that stubborn woman now?
A soft squelch caused Serana to turn her head. The relief was instant when she saw Muz-Lari walking towards her.
“There you are,” Serana said, walking towards her friend. “We were starting to get worried. You shouldn’t sneak off like that, you know.”
Words fell flat on her tongue once she was in front of Muz-Lari.
“What happened,” Serana asked, as she cupped her hands around Muz-Lari’s face and forced orange eyes to meet her gold. “You look pale.”
Muz-Lari shook her head.
“I’ll tell you later. Can we go inside? I’m cold.”
“Alright,” Serana acquiesced. “But as soon as you’re not looking half drowned, you’re going to tell where you’ve been and what you’ve done.”
Muz-Lari nodded and let Serana support her as they walked back to the manor.

Title: Before Labyrinthian
Characters: Bikhai, Ko’va (khajiit oc), Lucien Flavius, Muz-Lari (argonian dragonborn; there and mentioned but doesn’t speak)
Rating: G/T
Mother Cat’s mercy, Bikhai thought as he watched Ko’va rub her temple.
Bikhai and Ko’va sat on the steps of Labyrinthian. Ko’va rested, her eyes closed as she leaned on Bikhai, her head on his shoulder. While Muz-Lari and Lucien restored the front door.
Bikhai knew that they needed to recover the Staff of Magnus to save the College, but he had watched how Ko’va had kept rubbing her temples and shaking her head the entire trek here. And her eyes still hadn’t lost the dazed look they had after she regained consciousness after Ancano’s assault with the Eye.
Inigo: Look at the stars, my friends. Aren’t they something?
Ma’kara: They are. Back in Balmora, this one could never see more than one or two stars at night. Now, there are always so many that it amazes her.
Muz-Lari: I never had a problem seeing stars in Murkmire. What surprised me was the aurora. You can’t see it anywhere in the southern provinces.
Inigo: True. There’s nothing quite like it in Cyrodiil or Elsweyr.
Serana: I don’t really remember staring at the night sky before I met any of you. Listening to you three talk about how new and amazing the view is, it makes me feel a little shallow. I’ve been under these stars and the aurora most of my life and I never stopped to appreciate how beautiful they are. What do you think S’ariq?
S’ariq: Eh. It’s alright, he supposes. It is just light after all.
Muz-Lari: Says the one who’s lived in Skyrim all his life.
Inigo: And hasn’t spent centuries locked in a tomb.
Lydia: Welcome home, my Thane. -sees Inigo, Ko’va, Kharjo, and Nanak- Ah, the cat pack is here.
Inigo, Kharjo, Ko’va:………….
Nanak: Don’t call us that. Ever.
Inigo: Don’t bother. She’ll forget that you said that in two minutes.
Ko’va: Lydia’s not that forgetful. She’ll remember…..till the end of the day.

Rating: G/T
Muz-Lari sighed through her nose as a guard glared at her. The joys of Windhelm.
“Hands to yourself, lizard,” the guard hissed. “And if I even think you might be fiddling with a lock, I’ll-“
“You’ll what,” Lashur growled as she stepped between Muz-Lari and the guard.
