Valentines day bullshit based on the vine that lives rent free in my mind
our party of level 4s who are not built for combat are in a zombie hoard and my fruity gothprep failgirl bard got to use her coffin-lowering hook against an undead version of the person who almost killed her earlier hehehe
the nat20 is for "hey what if we happened to see the killer while on our lunch break" and overhearing gossip. the nat1 is for going to the site of a disappearance where we need to find evidence
Hello yes have this future au where Muse and Mic have a kid!!
His name is Kotone and he’s a really overconfident and rambunctious kid who tends to get into a lot of trouble but then gets scared and immediately regrets it.
His Quirk is amplify: He can amplify the sound of anything he touches.
I've realized that one of my favorite things about Muzashi is just how delicate the ship is tbh. Like I'm not saying that their relationship is in danger of falling apart if something goes wrong, quite the opposite, but the circumstances behind their relationship are just like... a one in a million chance.
You've got Muse, a withdrawn and cautious person even within their own community who doesn't want to travel or leave their comfort zone but then their life gets turned upside down due to their injury and they take a chance on a last ditch effort to regain their quirk by moving across the world, which only makes them even more isolated. Muse just wants to relearn their quirk, go home, and continue life as usual, and you'd think that having a guy who just won't shut up and be serious for their trainer would only make Muse more uncomfortable but instead he's just so charismatic that Muse ends up realizing how much of their happiness they've been surpressing and lets themselves open up to Hizashi, who in turn falls in love with the real Muse that's been hiding for so long. In turn, Hizashi gains a friend who, even though they're not quite as high energy as he is, wholeheartedly understands and wants to participate in his antics because they share many of the same mannerisms, sense of humor, and even way of talking.
And it's not even just that they make each other happy. Hizashi helps Muse feel more comfortable living in and helping them adjust to Japan because he's one of the few people they know who's fluent in English, loves American food, and also has similar hobbies, meaning that for Muse being with Hizashi is like having a little bit of home and familarity nearby so that the sudden culture change doesn't feel quite as jarring and alienating. On the other hand, Hizashi gets to know someone who not only knows about, but is from the culture he has so much interest in, and can share experiences with him that are more difficult to find in Japan.
And then once they get together, how much time they spend together becomes its own balancing act. Hizashi is a busy guy so obviously they want to see each other more, which is one of the reasons why Muse started working at UA, where they teach well together, yet while they're doing hero work they have a tricky time working together because Hizashi's quirk is much more damaging to Muse than it is to most people, yet they still figure out strategies to work together. Even their presence as public figures is at odds; they love appearing together as a hero couple, but Hizashi loves the limelight and Muse... doesn't, so they compromise by having separate lives and duties as heroes, but work as and appear publically as a team whenever they need to.
I went a little off topic there but what I'm getting at is that they want to spend a lot of time together but still have a delicate balance of how much time they can spend together because of outside forces but also because of inside ones too. Muse gets overwhelmed easily, so it's nice for them to have those times when Hizashi isn't home, and Muse's more homebody lifestyle can be a bit stifling to Hizashi, so when they're away from each other they can really let lose without worry, but still come home to the person that supports them in the areas that they aren't good at dealing with themselves, whether that be settling down or letting lose.
Idk I just really love how they interact
