can i also suggest we consider max being a very touchy person and his favorite thing to do being giving gp small bites all over? you know, not enough to cause harm but enough to mark. gp is his, as much as max is gp's.

muzzed alpha!max is a bottom. when the whole world considers him dangerous, the only person who is not afraid of him (rather for him sometimes), is the only one max willingly submits to, in many ways. gp is so gentle with him too - max is his, in the way someone precious is. a gift, a treasure. gp always makes sure max is as comfortable as possible, and in turn max always does what gp asks.
i am now also thinking about someone from the fia pulling at max's muzzle for some reason (another swearing incident?) and then gp gently taking the muzzle off in their room, smoothing the irritated skin and kissing each mark

okay okay so. the muzzles cannot be easily removed by the people wearing them, right? it would be completely counterproductive to their goal. i think usually the trainer would be the one holding the keys - the person closest to the driver during the weekend, usually only a few steps away. not in max's case tho! he gave his keys (emphasis on gave - he was the one to make that decision) to gp. he trusted gp the most. and now when he wants to have a snack/drink, he has to walk all the way up to the pitwall and ask. some would think this is not a good use of time during a busy race weekend and that's true, but they do not see gp checking on max every time the muzzle comes down, seeing if the muzzle is not chaffing too badly, if max is not getting overwhelmed.
