the resources of the BAU were limited. there was no way they could effectively handle or assist with all of the cases that were sent to them for review. it was his responsibility to make sure they were taking the right cases, making the right calls, and that didn’t include investigating COLD CASES. if a fresh body turned up maybe, but nothing that had been sitting for nearly a decade. of course, that didn’t stop aaron from personally reviewing a file that found it’s way onto his desk. the dates of the reports weren’t comforting and there was little in the way of evidence, there was no chance he’d be able to bring in his entire team for an investigation. -- but maybe there was another way the bureau could assist the small rural community. ❝good morning ziva,❞ hotch leads with a small smile which he hopes falls somewhere in the realm of CHARMING. agent king was green-lighted to work cases the bau couldn’t, and was an expert in her field. he has the case in one hand, but in the other he has what he recalls to be her favorite drink from the cafe across the street. ❝i’m hoping you might be able to lend me a hand with something -- sort of unofficially.❞ @fbiartist | smol starters ( accepting )
