it was very difficult to keep elijah out of action for longer, he was pretty indestructible. but if his heart were to be harmed or if someone would be able to successfully behead him, then he would actually be made harmless for a short time and look quite dead. but unlike normal vampires (or other beings in general) that would only very temporarily harm him. only the special daggers would actually knock him out for a longer time; days, weeks, years, centuries, even. it was difficult to estimate how long he had been gone when he took his first breath; when the dark veins on his grey skin were retreating, even if his skin remained grey until he had regained strength, until he had fed. he felt strangely dried up.
what he did know, however, was that he was furious, raging mad, even. how could he? how dared he?
elijah had risen within seconds with a growl and moved his shoulder until it was adjusted again with a loud crackling. his head also tilted until another crack was heard – injuries that didn't have the time to heal before he was daggered. he was in attack mode, ready to beat the crap out of his dear brother. in all honesty, he didn't really realize at first that the present people had changed nor that his opposite was gripping his arm.
only when he heard her voice he snapped back to reality and caused him to pull his eyebrows together, irritated about what she was doing here as she had not been there when he had the confrontation with niklaus.
"ziva?" his voice was raspy due to the lack of fluid, his skin still very greyish. and only then did he realize that he was too close to her, that he had attempted to crush her which immediately made him step back.
