Louie Duck has a habit of asking for a free water cup at McMoogles and then filling it with soda anyway at the fountain. Xion pretends not to see, but Saïx will confiscate the cup and chase the kid out if he catches him. Saïx then goes on to berate Xion for falling for such an obvious ploy, and she just apologizes and agrees she must be a fool. But inwardly, she's just decided that she'd rather have Saïx think she's stupid than to be a killjoy to a little kid over a few cents worth of pop.

Donald shows up to Daisy's Diner with the triplets in tow. Waitress Kairi convinces busboy Axel to help her distract the kiddos, because Donald is obviously trying to flirt with Daisy and don't you just love Love???

Axel: "I don't know anything about kids, how do you entertain them? I have a lighter?"

He flicks it on, but Kairi immediately swats it closed again, snapping, "NO."

However, the boys instantly appear at Axel's elbow demanding to see it again.

Scrooge's chauffeur is a man named Laurence Padd, but everyone calls him Launchpad, which is a stage name he uses in many of his side gigs. Those include, but are not limited to: aerobatic stunt pilot, demolition derby driver, and announcer at some local sporting events (such as the annual Struggle tournament). He very briefly worked as a fill-in tram conductor when Dale had to take leave unexpectedly, but he somehow managed to derail the car during his first shift and was promptly fired.

Launchpad is married to a man named Drake and they have a daughter named Lynn. Drake's middle name begins with a W, which is why his husband occasionally calls him D.W. It's my AU and I get to pick the irrelevant background ships.

what is the exchange rate for munny? in one post Axel said he bought a pair of boots for 1 munny and i was just wondering what the real world equivalent would be

I figured it was more or less dollar for dollar, USD. Also my records indicate the boots were 3 munny. Which is still insanely cheap for such large boots, but I was figuring they were from a garage sale or particularly sketchy thrift store and were basically being given away due to their condition and style. They’re cheaply-made tacky “it’s not a phase, mom!” knockoffs, not big study leather things with nice buckles. It would have behooved me to make them look much shittier in order for the joke to land, but shoes are hard to draw and I ended up too pleased with them to bear roughing them up. So it mostly just comes off as Saix being a snot about fashion taste, though that is also true.

UHH well I’m not creative enough to come up with a new zodiac so I’mma say traditional zodiac. So far all I know is that the Strife twins are Gemini, Saix is Cancer, and Axel is Leo, and Riku and Rokuro are something in the fall... maybe probably Scorpio?

Saix's family situation makes me so fucking sad :(

Saix’s closet is stocked entirely with leather pants in this AU, tbh. I have an unacceptably large number of private rants about his life in my google docs. He’s become my saltmate in canon so I can’t abide by him being an asshole for no reason in my AUs. So instead I dump a bunch of sad shit on him to make his behavior understandable to me (not always justifiable, mind, but understandable).

Take solace in the fact that I am a huge cheese and despise tragic endings. This AU doesn’t really follow the kids through and beyond college, but if it did you’d see his life improve 100%. His is a more extreme version of the part of Riku’s arc that revolves around Found Family vs Blood Family. I guess you could almost say that the Isas are an analogy for Organization XIII in this AU, in an odd way. Saix gets sucked in and has this bizarre sense of duty even though there’s no real indication that they deserve his loyalty, and trying to survive within the regime fucks up his other relationships and general interpersonal skills.
