Whoever made her the team leader either had a peculiar sense of humor or maybe saw something in Neko that the girl didn’t even begin to consider. She was as far from what would be considered leader material as one could be. But nonetheless, the happy-go-lucky girl was in charge which could only lead to some kind of chaos. 

She always got out of sticky situations just fine though, so it wasn’t like she was really worried or anything. She just wanted to see her friends again.

“Nyaa...let’s go this way!” Of course, she was already starting off into the maze without even consulting her teammates. It wasn’t like she was the type to really think before she acted. Even despite the situation and the odd weapon, she was in high spirits.

Though it did give way to confusion when she found their way obscured by...doors? She blinked and tilted her head. “Why do they need so many doors?”

Sugar Sweet | Dante & Catherine

Savoring that lovely coldness, that sweet syrup, Dante indulged himself happily. He couldn’t be happier that there was a place in this world that served strawberry sundaes, especially since that made up half of his diet, the other half consisting of pizza (without olives, of course.) And he thanked whatever deity that could’ve possibly been listening everyday that his demon physiology kept his unhealthy habits from catching up to him physically.

As Dante finished off the frozen treat, he noticed something moving from the corner of his eye. It wasn’t anything too big and he elected to ignore it, banking on the idea that it wouldn’t cause any problems later. If anything, it looked like an ant. Which was unsurprising, considering the sugary dessert he had just eaten.

Dante looked up when he noticed someone walk into the room. He thought he had seen her around campus before. In fact, she might’ve been one of his students, but he had yet to learn who all of them were, still very new to the teaching scene.

“Do you need something?” he asked. “Still got some time before class begins.”

He wasn’t sure how a stroll into the night turned into an escape from his classmate. Not to mention, it was dark. Luckily, the sword is accustomed to nightly ventures from all those horrid expeditions. 

Turning the corner, however, he was not expecting to run into the woman so soon, and he was not expecting such close proximity that their lips met.

With eyes widening, he pulled back faster than he did in any battle he engaged in ever. Aka, none. ❝ ...Forget this happened. Don’t talk to me in class. ❞

01. & 02.

01. What does your character’s name mean? Did you pick it for the symbolism, or did you just like the way it sounded?

Abigail has Hebrew origins, and means father rejoiced, or father’s joy. Which is...actually kind of ironic when you think about how her parents were the ones who made the decision to turn her over to the DUP. As for her nickname, Fetch, it’s never revealed how or why she got it, just that she was nine years old when she did. Something she’s tight-lipped on so it’s probably an embarrassing childhood story that’ll be fun to headcanon~

02. What is one of your character’s biggest insecurities? Are they able to hide it easily or can others easily exploit this weakness?

One of her biggest weaknesses was how dependent she was on her brother. It was just the two of them and he kept her calm and grounded. When he wasn’t there and she could feel herself having an attack, she would always try to focus on a good memory of him--but it didn’t quite work and she’d still snap and lash out with her powers. Her dependence on Brent was actually exploited by Shane as he forced her to do all sorts of jobs for her under the pretense that he’d help her get him back. 

Her biggest insecurity though, is probably that she feels like despite the fact she thought she was doing the right thing, her earlier actions probably wouldn’t have made Brent proud. It wasn’t until meeting Delsin and realizing the path she was heading down wasn’t going to do her any good that she started looking for another way, and hoping he’d be proud. Beyond that, she also still blames herself for his death, even though he told her it wasn’t his fault, so part of her will always wonder if she’s going to hurt someone close to her again.

Sometimes she just needed to blow off a little steam. Being by herself like this, with none of the faces from back home made her feel unsettled. Her mind started to wander, and in most cases, would drift to the past, to her brother, to what she’d done. 

But that was why she liked to go to the training room, where she could keep herself occupied and not have to worry about those kinds of intrusive thoughts. This was definitely one of those times, and not the best day she’d had either. 

She fired off a couple blasts at one target, successfully taking it out and whirling to get the next one. However, she realized almost a second too late that the next one had appeared behind someone and just barely managed to avoid firing at them. Still, having a bolt of neon whiz by so close would likely be enough to surprise anyone.

“Shit,” she hissed. “Uh, sorry ‘bout that. Didn’t know anyone was there.” And really, the last thing she needed was to accidentally hurt someone while she was in one of her moods. “You okay? Nothin’ singed?”
