there's something oddly intoxicating about having influence over someone, like sloane could steer this in whatever direction she wants. she leans into nova's space with a conspiratorial little grin. “now, i don't wanna cloud your judgement too much, but if i were you i'd stay far away from her.” she jerks her head towards where mirae's just walked by. “she'll take your head off for any lil thing. other'n that, you've got nothin' to worry about here.”

      cigarette smoke curled around his face, the faint ember glowing at the edge of their fingers as he exhaled sharply. his gaze caught sight of them, cutting in a way that felt more like a warning than an acknowledgment. they didn’t bother hiding the irritation that flickered across his features, his jaw tightening just enough to show he wasn’t thrilled about the company.  ❛  didn’t realize this was a meet & greet.  ❜  the words left his mouth like a flicked cigarette ash — dismissive, yet deliberate. his eyes lingered on them for a beat too long, assessing, before they turned their head slightly, looking out toward the empty alleyway as if it might offer an escape.

🎀      :      of  course  she  would  find  him  here,   lit  cigarette  in  hand.   this  is  one  of  the  few  escape  routes  12welve  offers  on  a  night  like  this.   unluckily  for  him,   rhiannon  has  made  it  her  personal  mission  to  pull  eric  into  all  things  fun.   she  pushes  herself  through  the  side  door  the  rest  of  the  way,   invading  his  line  of  sight.   〝   i   was   looking   for   you   !   〞   she  chimes,   almost  accusatory.   〝   i've  been  people  watching  so  much,   which  means  i've  also  seen  you  people  watching—   i  need  less  of  that  &  more  partying,   whisper  !   〞   her  arms  fold  across  her  chest,   humorously  expectant.   he should consider  his  peace  &  quiet effectively  ruined.   〝   c'mon. chop,   chop.   〞
