They are assholes, I'm sorry you had to feel uncomfortable and awkward because of someone that just has nothing else to do in their life... Like fuck that, just don't feel bad because of it... That's exactly what they are trying to achieve. I'm really sorry I had a similar experience with one of my teachers. ��
the teacher who told me tho was a woman and strong feminist, i don’t think her intention was at all to make me feel bad. tho the way she said it was if all the teachers had been talking about me and how i dressed and not in generall how students dress which was why it made me really, really uncomfortable. thank u tho!!

i did a speech about this at my school actually, and my biggest thing is that even if something a student is wearing is against the dress code, it's not appropriate to bring it up in front of everyone and/or distract from learning.
i don’t believe they would actually call me out on it (when the teacher told me this it was private, just for reference), but it would be very obvious that they were talking about me and everyone would understand it. my school has never really has any dresscode, just some rules that noone cared about, not even the teachers. that’s also probably the reason there was going to be discussion about it, since there was no rules they (teachers) probably decided it was time to make some.

i don’t know really if there’s a sexist reason behind this, that was why i was asking this tbh. my school, as i said, had some rules about how to dress, but they were old and noone followed them. i talked to my mum about this and she said that herself would dress to school as she would dress to work. and that’s why i’m kind of ??? about it all because i wouldn’t dress this way to work, but it’s not work??
