"*muffled screaming*"
Seeing bloodshed wasn’t an unusual occurrence on the island, with contestants dying left and right as the days passed (probably why Arcade had started bringing in more and more mutants–it felt overcrowded, really), but it was understandable to feel extreme shock as they watched the death of another, blood splattering everywhere as the two stood behind a tree, Arthur trying to find a route away from the bloodied contestant and his most recent kill.
With a hand over her mouth, his eyes turned white as he summoned the smog, using it to cloak the both of them. He had given her a stern look to make sure she wouldn’t scream again, removing his hand and quickly placing it on her back, swooping her up from the ground as his mutation enabled him to leave the site of carnage at the speed of light.
Putting her down gently, he quickly checked whether she was able to survive his sudden sprint and thankful that at least her head didn’t fall off her shoulders. “Did you really have to scream?” He asked, a sigh escaping his lips before he turned and walked away, picking up twigs for a fire.
