An unauthorized copy of the Roland RS-202, this Multivox is very similar in its warm sound and simplicity. It has a brass and string section, vibrato, amplitude envelope control, and the highly prized Ensemble Effect! This turns the Multivox's otherwise thin sound into something completely different and beautiful. In other words, this synth is not very versatile, but it has some sounds that cannot be reproduced by any other synths that the Roland RS-202 or possibly the Arp Solina SE-IV String Ensemble analog synthesizer.
When it comes to price, I have seen these things go from $200 all the way up to around $650. This is a rare and vintage piece of equipment that can be quite hard to find. It's condition is quite good for an item of it's age and type. One of the sharp/flat keys occasionally gets stuck, and the buttons to select Mode 1, 2, or Off are currently not cosmetically perfect though still in working order.
I am open to trades for other synth gear, Gibson or Fender guitars, or a Helix Board type multiple input computer interface for my analog gear...Cash is good too.
