Fan Critic: Part 6
Hadrian could have been an interesting, relatable character and inclusive representation of autism, instead we got an overhyped, underwhelming, and what can be potentially gleaned as a self insert and a wannabe.
While some of his behaviour can be passed off as typical teenage behaviour, the rest of it is cringe worthy and his character is defined by his over-inflated ego, self assured expertise in sex and being a dom after a single conversation on the subject with his uncle, zero prior experience at sex cough Virgin cough and his pride in his gorgeous looks which he inherited from his grandfather and father.... You know, that same grandfather that according to him forgets to bathe for several days on end-- oh but wait, Hades canonically bathes twice a day. Damn, he really should shoot Hadrian a text every time he takes a bath because gods forbid he doesn't, he must be unhygienic cuz Hadrian doesn't see him bathe.
For all the hype about his character, Hadrian is simply a pretty face with no substance beyond being annoying enough to clear out a room. He's poor representation of how people with autism behave and has a namesake label slapped on him being non-binary, when he's just fashion fluid at best.
