MXM Got Fans Wanting More and More at MXM MATCH UP Fan Meeting in Kuala Lumpur
K-pop duo, MXM was in town for their very first fan meeting in Malaysia at HGH Convention Centre on Tuesday, 1st May 2018, attended by 1,000 enthusiastic fans.
MXM stands for both "Mix and Match" and "More x More". The former refers to the duo’s compatibility as a group despite contrasting qualities, while the latter refers to their determination to develop as a duo.
Both of MXM members, Im Youngmin and Kim Donghyun were known to be part of a 2017 boy group survival reality show on Mnet, Produce 101 Season 2.
MXM sang a total of 8 songs and also played some games with their fans such as “O/X Game” and “Guess the Drawing”. Fans’ knowledge about MXM members are challenged through “O/X Game” in which they have to make signals to indicate which statement about MXM member is true or false. During “Guess the Drawing”, fans have to guess what are the members trying to draw and they will be picked to receive special prizes signed by the MXM members themselves. When the members wanted to pick a fan wearing glasses to guess one of their drawing, some fans even tried to make their own glasses by using their fingers.

They also learned a few Malay phrases and slang such as "saya sayang awak" (I love you), "lekkkk lu" (chill out). They are indeed fast learners as they could pronounce the words fluently complete with perfect pitching for the slang.
MXM also wore Malaysian traditional clothes "samping" and danced to Malaysian traditional/kid song "Rasa Sayang" to entertain their fans. In return, they too taught the fans the choreography of their hit song "Diamond Girl".
Fans also showed their love by creating a fan video for MXM. While MXM was focusing on the video, fans raised the banner that said "Thank you for coming". After the fan video ended, MXM was surprised and overwhelmed when they turn around and saw the scene.
Their company's CEO, Rhymer also attended the fan meeting to show his support for the boys.
