Kaito’s not sure what these are for but instead grinned as he made to take the flower from his other self, being reminded of the last time that the other had given him a flower crown which he still kept and managed to keep from wilting.

“Thanks!” Vanishing them with a practiced gesture of his hands, he bowed down in a showman’s bow before conjuring a bouquet of yellow roses as thank you. “Not sure what’s the occasion, but maybe you should give me cake sometime instead. Not that I don’t appreciate the flower/s but chocolate sounds good right about now.”

The detective gave not-Kaito a confused look, unsure of the gesture but nonetheless accepting the flower with a shrug. “Uh, thanks.”

(Kaito does make a habit of giving him flowers from time to time that he had decided to place several vaces around the apartment just for that. He had an inkling that his partner’s just using him to test some of his experiments as the flowers took months to wilt and are sometimes in different unusual shades. As to why did this Kaito gave him one is unknown.)

Well, he hadn’t expected that to happen. Kaito was traveling around by boat and didn’t think it would get robbed, much less decimated like it had. Seeing pirates was a completely new experience to him. Thankfully they hadn’t gotten the gem he currently held. Most of the humans either left him or drowned already.

Being more than human helped, but his tail was starting to feel numb as his blood had already travelled to the most important parts of his body. His tail often got colder when wet, especially if he was in cold water for a while like he was now. He doubted a regular human could survive in this cold for this long.

“Not hurt…Just…c-cold…”

"Alright, I'll get you to land or something. Just hang on!" She'd heard of how fast humans got cold in water, so she had to move quick. Hopefully she could get him somewhere drier.

"By the way, what happened to your boat? I don't see anything that could have done that..." Unless it was another boat of course, but if it was they seemed to be long gone.

Well, not every day you saw a shipwreck. Not eager to injure herself on random debris, Sera was about to swim away when she caught sight of someone in the mess. A human? Abandoning her previous plans to just leave, she instead chose to make her way through the floating bits in order to help the human stay afloat."You okay? Not hurt or anything?"
