The next time the god decided to make an appearance in his room in the usual humanoid form, Nick immediately put down the papers he was holding and walked right up to Phobetor. Banking on the god’s form being tangible this time, he reached out and grabbed at the collar of what appeared to be a hoodie, hoping to pull his erastês closer to steal a kiss. “Nice to see you again, Ikelos.~”
In the Land of Dreams, where reality could be bent with a single thought and the impossible becomes achievable, it was quite easy to lose track of time. After all, what is time to an immortal god? Nothing but a word—a concept that held no sway over him. Thus, when Phobetor appeared in the real world to see that months have passed since his last visit to the mortal world—since he saw his erômenos in person—it came to no real surprise for him.
Sure, he might have occasionally pulled the hellhound into the Land of Dream while the other slept, but the Dream version wasn’t quite the true thing. While Phobetor was there in person, Nick could only show up as a figment—a projection that Nick could control based on how he saw himself—and Phobetor couldn’t help but slightly miss the small details that Nick always seemed to forget about. There have been quite a few times that Phobetor had looked over to see that the little mole by Nick’s eye was missing, or the red of his eyes wasn’t quite the right shade. It almost felt like Phobetor himself was slowly forgetting what the other looked like in reality, and it was probably time to change that. Not to mention, the last date had been a little while ago as well, so it was probably high time he spent time with his little puppy either way.
The trip from Greece to America took a mere few seconds on powerful Oneiroi wings, and soon Phobetor had to screech to a halt as he flew right through Nick’s window with a powerful whoosh of air to announce his presence. As he slowly landed, his ears picked up the sound of footsteps heading towards him, making him look up at the approaching male. A small smirk found its way to the god’s face. “Hi there, pu—”
Before he could even finish his word, he felt his hoodie being grabbed and pulled down, making him stumble slightly in surprise. His wings—not yet willed away—flared open to try and regain some balance, though he barely registered that as his mouth was claimed by Nick. The kiss didn’t last long enough for Phobetor to even think about kissing back, leaving him blinking in confusion for a moment, before finally speaking again.
“....If that’s the greeting I get for being away for so long, maybe I should stay away more often.” Chuckling lightly, the god brought his hands up to gently cup both sides of the hound’s face, pulling him slightly closer while making sure to be cautious with his claws. Black feathered wings matched the movement, slowly encircling the two of them as the black cat-like tail loosely wrapped around Nick’s waist. “Did my cute lil’ puppy miss me? Hmmm...?”
This time it would be Nick’s turn to not be allowed to speak as Phobetor leaned forward to close the remaining gap between them, capturing the other’s lips in another kiss.
