So I was watching some old videos and found one from the 1960 Rome Olympics and I LOVE how the gymnastics competition was hosted in the Baths of Caracalla. Having an historic place to compete in and not another pavilion as usual, creating such an amazing atmosphere. How cool is that, at the end this sport is based in aesthetics right?
I know nowadays is almost impossible to do something similar because of all the logistics, ticket sales,.... but imagine that, idk, the gymnastics competition in 2024 could be hosted in the Grand Palais with that beautiful glass ceiling. Imagine the pictures *sighs*.
