Conner blinked and shifted his grip on the Superman plush doll in his hand. “It’s adorable. Kind of.”
A smile grew along the sides of her mouth, widening until her shoulders shook with full-blown laughter. She threw up her arms and leaned against him in a sloppy kiss, giggles still bubbling from the pit of her stomach.
The sun hit the corners of her eyes as he kissed her back, dazzling and clear.
