[ once again, peter had taken to exploring the crime-life of hive city, his will for protecting the innocent perhaps a little too present since the recent stress of the sudden move and in turn the surprise rewrite of his life. a few days ago he was a normal guy, well as normal as he could have been, just a kid in school occasionally being late for class but always handing in his home work on time. normal. now, he was a resident of hive city, a place he had never heard of but was wishing he had. a constructed, concentrated research base, or something. a fabricated place built for the sole purpose of observation. as if the world didn't already have enough god damn cctv and all that crap. ]
[ from the side of some busted ex-restaurant peter observed a collection of people down below. although he couldn't hear what they were muttering to one another from such a distance, their frequent shoving implied they were disagreeing on something. peter swung closer, this time sitting behind one of the abandoned cars some few feet from the scuffle. he was barely there for a handful of seconds, when he heard the sound of one man being knocked into the very car he was hidden behind. the scuffling of feet soon followed, as did the sound of distant running. peter looked up. only a single man was left, eyes fixed upon the masked teen who was peering out from the side of the car. peter rose to his feet before speaking, waving a hand around loosely as he attempted to talk his way around the problem... ]
