Totally random but I've been missing my dad a lot and I want to give a big shout out to him

My dad is a white Southern man. He has lived in Louisiana his entire life.

And he CHUGS that respect women juice

My grandmother was a super smart English teacher and autism rights activist. My dad's sisters are successful career women and artists. My sister and I are his only kids.

And he LOVES it.

He's always taught me and my sister to stand up for ourselves and defend ourselves, that we didn't have to get married or have kids if we didn't want to, that we could be and do anything we wanted.

When my sister expressed an interest in karate, he signed up to take it with her. He's the reason I love science so much, and we're always talking about theoretical physics and stuff (and he loves listening to podcasts/reading articles by women scientists)

His favorite TV shows include Charlie's Angels, Agent Carter, Bones, Alias, and Nikita. (He's also the reason I got into sci fi and superheroes)

I saw a post the other day that was like "Captain Marvel has nothing that appeals to straight men-" and um. Sorry. But my dad LOVES her. In his own words "she was really cool. I liked her attitude."

He does not only love women superheroes and action heroes if they're sexualized. In his own words "I just like it when women kick butt."

So just. Big shout out to my dad. He's been such a strong positive influence on me and such a factor in my confidence and I love him so much
