8. Are you a homebody?
Yea
9. What movies have you watched recently? What shows are you watching?
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World! It is REALLY good! I am going to watch The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall, which is temporarily on Youtube for 24 hours (if you are in the U.K.) or 48 hours (for the rest of the world) half a day later.
Oh ya, I have watched a lot of interesting Youtube programs, including one about BlackRock, an investment corporation that controls TRILLIONS of dollars, equivalent to two times of the GDP of France. That program talks about how this corporation interferes with the stock markets and the governments around the world (mentioned USA, France, Germany, Mexico), and how it potentially illegally used the knowledge they got from the European Central Bank to buy the formerly-public assets that the Greek government was selling at the RIGHT time. It is super dark, but something that the more people are aware of this, the better! Unfortunately, that program was produced by a Franco-German channel called Arte, so it may only be available in French and German. But you can read about BlackRock in this English article: (x). Or if you understand French or want to see if you can tolerate auto-translated French into English, you can watch the program here: (x).
10. An event that you were looking forward to that got cancelled?
Nothing
11. What’s the worst thing that you’ve had to cancel?
Is there anything? Um, ok, I did think about returning to a restaurant to retry their winter menu before it got changed to their summer menu. But then, the government ordered all the restaurants to close. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
12. What’s the best thing you’ve had to cancel?
Nothing <- apparently I have no social life LOL Some things I like have moved online, which may be better for me, as I may not always want to leave home :x
13. Do you have any new hobbies?
I already have too many hobbies
14. What are you out of?
Time? I have been sleeping a lot, and doing a lot of self-healing. In addition, I have to work. As a result, even though I am always at home, I don’t have a lot of time to do random stuffs, like painting the Elsa figure that I got from the Frozen II Magazine.
15. What music are you listening to?
The mechanical sound coming from my boiler
16. What are you reading?
This
17. What are you doing for self-care?
Energy healing, cleaning my flat
18. Are you exercising?
Push-ups, sit-ups, planking
19. How’s your toilet paper supply?
I actually bought A LOT last year, like 50 rolls, wayyyyy before covid-19 happened! Now I still have about 30 rolls.
20. Have you made any changes to your hair during quarantine?

Talking to a friend at 2am is like "I have read 60% of my new book. I wonder if I should (buy) a new book so that I have something to eat in late-Dec"
One year ago, I moved from Midwestern US to the French-speaking region of Switzerland. Honestly, I don’t miss the US except a few things below:
1. For some unknown reasons, the drying machines in the US were way more efficient! The drying machines in the US were able to dry my clothes completely within an hour, while even after a couple of hours, my clothes may still be a bit wet here.
2. Dove White Beauty Bar in the US smells much better!
3. Doing online shopping in the US is generally more convenient and cheaper. For example, Amazon doesn’t exist in Switzerland. While I can buy stuffs from the French and German Amazons, not all of the products can be shipped to Switzerland.
3. Edy’s ice cream doesn’t exist in Switzerland, and Ben & Jerry’s is double the price of that in the US.
4. Costed much less to eat out in the US, like 50-75% cheaper. Also, there is no guarantee that you will be full after having a normal meal in a restaurant in Switzerland.
5. Cheaper to buy Asian grocery in the US. No all-you-can-eat sushi restaurants in Switzerland.
Just spent more than 2 hours talking with my ex-fiancée. Somehow the conversation led us to reflecting our long-gone relationship. It is strange, but a good kind of strange.
I won the gamble on Brexit against my Italian and Belgian colleagues and got 2 Swiss frs. However, I am in distress now, and I really need a hug from my friend who lives in Eastern France (but we are 3-hour away from each other in term of transportation).
It is easier to talk to someone after sleeping with them, because it is like an icebreaker

So, I wrote a postcard to my friend by adding the lines from The Girl King [x] into the content, and here is the result:
Dear friend,
I walked to this place today, then walked back home. People claim that it gives one of the best views of Lake Geneva, and I think they are right. There are so many pieces of the Christ child’s foreskin in circulation, I can’t imagine the size of the holy member. However, there are a lot of bugs flying right next to the lake, so I can neither speak nor eat. By the rusty nails of Christ’s cross, this is delicious! Morges is a small city, but it has a lovely book store. To be uneducated in this world of ours, that would be blasphemy. On my way to Morges, I saw some farmlands. But I have yet to accept that a man could exploit me like a peasant plows his field. Ok, it is time for me to go to bed. He lay in bed before my father and the sheets were warm when the king came to join him. They called him “the King’s bed companion.”
Your friend
