how do you know and draw butterflies and moths so well? Do you research the species or read about them in insect books??

I wanted to ask for some advice and tips on how to draw them, if it's not too much trouble

i missed the ocean so bad that when we had to go to the seaside mall today and i finally saw the coast again, that very night i dreamt i was free driving in crystal blue water like a mermaid
