sometimes, i wonder why i ever bother to stay around, to keep going. but then i remember: you’re here. and that’s more than enough a reason.

i can't give you everlasting joy, i don't really have that to give. i can't give you a heart free of pain, not when mine is still so badly hurt. i can't give you a perfect day, a perfect smile, because all my edges are sharp and jagged, fit to cut anybody if they mishandle me for even a moment. i can't give you perfection in our talks, because my thoughts will race as they wont to do and avoid proper rationale to jump at the opportunity of being without wires to hold my jaw in place.

but i can give you sanctuary. i can give you a hideaway from trouble when it comes charging for you. i can give you protection from the demons that weigh your soul on a rigged scale. i can give you an open hand, a warm smile. i may not have everything that you could want, but i can give you my time.

it's not perfect, but... it's the best i can do. i hope it's enough.
