1) i have a cat who just published this prematurely is all white and his name is Nix, which is Latin for snow.

2) i have mirror-touch and spatial-sequence synesthesia.

3) i play piano and french horn, though neither in several years as i don't live in a place where i have space or privacy for that.

4) i am a language hoarder. those in which i have ever attained some level of competence include (descending): english (native), latin, asl, ancient greek, french, mandarin. i need to improve all of those, but i also should add to that list italian and spanish, and want to add to that list german, welsh, turkish, and zulu.

5) as a child, i hated potatoes, including french fries. i have since seen the error of my ways.

there's this car commercial that starts something like "can you feel something just by looking it" and every single time, i go "YES yes i can, that's a thing!" ...and then realise they aren't being serious or talking about synesthesia

the teddy bear feels soft and fluffy on the palms of my hands. 10/10

the leaves... honestly, i have no idea why, but the rougher ones in the center i feel on my nose?? and the bottom ones are very smooth on my right hand fingertips. 12/10

the bear doesn’t really feel like anything :( ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

i can feel that stress-ball-foam feel of the strawberry on my palm and the tension in your thumb, but weirdly i’m feeling it in my right hand?? idk. 9/10

i can feel the things balanced on that turtle on my own spine, even though i’m vertical right now. that’s very odd. 8/10

For your syn: How many different sensations do you get for petting different kinds of dog? And also: kneading a hand-knit sweater in your fingers.

like offhand i feel short wiry fur like on a basenji or something? and then my brain goes to the long dry fur of my cousins’ old collie. and then (sorry pup) to the greasy fur of my family’s old lab/bull mix. probably could go on for a while but those are what come to mind first.

the knitting goes right to this really annoying unnecessarily fluffy yarn, which, idek why? on second thought i get to sort of rough heavy cotton yarn, which is more comfortable.

a pile of wriggly puppies getting dumped on your lap, a warm down comforter, and a warm fire

puppies: kinda painful and ticklish but also cute: 6/10
