The freedom of wanting less. (📷 @lumixuk) 😒 Modern society wants us to believe we need to always be purchasing new things to make us feel happy. As I get older, it becomes ever more apparent what an obvious lie this is, designed to make a small group of people rich, while the majority stay miserable and poor. Extensive studies have shown that it is actually a stronger connection with nature that brings a greater sense of happiness and reductions in stress to the majority of the population. ~ 🙏🏼 I find that a daily dose of nature combined with a walk, run or bike ride outdoors is what truly gives me joy. In fact even going one day without getting out and about leaves me feeling a little down, especially if it's a bright sunny day. Any kind of natural landscape with plants and animals is amazing to me, and a thousand times better than wandering around the shops.
