STEPS FOR SETTING UP BT ACCOUNT ON PHONE
The BT Mail offers a large number of services like telephone, broadband, and the web services. BT normally claims the security and safety measures with the new email framework to be tended before its client launch
In order to set up the email or BT Account on a computer, laptop and phone a person needs to know the following things:
The BT Email address or username.
Password of the BT email address.
The device that the person possess where he wants to set up the BT account let's say ( android or ios )
The application that the person is currently using let's say(Apple mail or outlook).
There should be good incoming and outgoing server settings ( known as IMAP/POP3) settings for the BT email service.
Also to protect the email server from the abuse by the spammers the user requires all the emails sent through the email service to have the SMTP authentication
Click on the box called “My server requires authentication” in the personal email program settings.
To change the settings on the android mobile phone:
Tap the menu button from the home screen and then tp the settings and the mobile networks.
Click on the access point names then tap on the menu button and new APN.
Click on the name field, enter the internet and then tap ok.
Click on the APN field, enter everywhere and then tap ok.
Click on the username field, enter the secure and then tap ok.
Click on the password field, enter the secure option and then click on ok.
Tap the menu option and then click on save.
To change the settings on the Apple iPhone:
A person might need to update the internet settings if he/she have got an iPhone 4 or earlier. Updation is required for the continued service.
Go to the settings option.
Select the general option and then select about.
Now the carrier must show BT with the current version greater or equal to 18.1
If the carrier is not showing BT 18.1 then:
Go to the settings option
Select general option and then select reset.
Select the reset network settings.
