Ch. 80: What he wishes to protect… What he must protect. A shot from Katsu I forgot to post on Tumblr! I found this lovely Fai at the Clamp shoot and asked to take some photos. Look at that smile! I’m so happy I finally got photos in this cosplay a year after debuting it haha. Kuro will forever have the biggest place I’m my heart.

Just for reference, the head piece is made of worbla and gesso and was my first experiment with thermoplastics ever so I am INCREDIBLY proud of it. The top of the costume, while made from cheap vinyl, has steel bones under each of the hand stitched laces, which go through metal eyelets at the top of each panel. My sword is from Amazon and altered with friendly plastic and Worbla, the arm pieces are also foam. My foam belts ft. Easter eggs lmao I’m obv a hardcore cosplayer?

I just want to talk about how incredibly happy I have been to be able to cosplay Kurogane, and how it shows in every photo I take. I’ve loved Tsubasa and have wanted to cosplay from it since middle school almost ten years ago, so it’s an incredible dream to have gotten to a place with my Kuro cosplay where where I am comfortable and just get to have so much fun! It’s 1000% impossible for me to keep a strait or angry face in any shot, and as much as I want to do my stoic dad justice, I can’t. Unfortunately, my local Fai and I couldn’t match KuroFai outfits to Katsu, but I was able to find this lovable bae and take a couple of cute photos!

Amatsuki is one of my favorite manga, and I’m so happy to have been able to cosplay Ginshu to two different cons! I hope I get to photograph his shitty gossiping personality more and also his younger version, but for now have some sad photos of my dead butterfly child from Katsu!

It's not a big thing, but finally got around to painting my Elpis mask from FFXIV that I bought 8 months ago. Not sure if I'm going to make the rest the costume, but it makes me happy just having it hanging on the wall.
