When I saw Trent going up to Eleanor and asking to dance with her, I was squealing with DELIGHTTTTT but also wondering to myself… “what made Trent go to the play?”
So this is where my head canon goes “maybe he missed attending theater class for 5 weeks in a row and he has to attend a play as a make up assignment”

That’s when he sees eleanor. She’s the lead star, dressed in her yellow cardigan and her grandma wig.
And then she speaks. And it reminds Trent of his grandma.
Remember when Trent in season 1 mentioned something about his grandma (this was season 1 episode 8) when they were at the punch table? After he was like “yo this punch is grandma juice cuz it’s demented!!” And then Marcus asked him “how is your grandma” and Trent’s like “she has her good days”?
My head canon goes “OMG MAYBE TRENT WATCHED THE PLAY AND WAS SO TOUCHED BY ELEANOR’S ACTING AND IT REMINDED HIM OF HIS GRANDMA” lol
