hm i haven't worked it out yet, and i think i won't before s4: i need more data. because for now we know john doesn't really mind touching sherlock and it did get further than just "hey friendly hug" because when they were drunk he touched his knee and well, that was rather intimate. so i'm not really sure if it's about not being physically attracted (but again: the stag night?) or maybe the fact that john hasn't kind of accepted his attraction towards sherlock yet? well in s3 there's obviously also mary business, john's otherwise engaged etc. - but still. i don't want to make any assumptions now though, as i said, i need more data.
