Remembering this special lady, my God-Mother Elizabeth R. Thomas. She always had time for me...Listening to my childhood challenges, my teenage crisis, my questions on parenting, and survival of domestic violence. She told me how proud of me she was when I built my freelance floral business, "A Touch of Sunshine" to her visiting Flava Coffee House with pride. When cancer took over her body, she told me that she had no idea how many lives she effected, to sharing how hard it was to remain strong in the end. She was the strongest woman i knew and she made a difference for so many. Just hours before she took her last breath, she told me she loved me and the girls. A great women, mother, grandmother, community advocate/activist, role model/mentor to many through health care/church/families/community building. I was blessed beyond measures to have her play such a huge role in my life.
