i wonder what would happen if you injected crushed glass shards into the bloodstream of a specimen... it might tear up the veins and arteries and/or offset the general balance of the blood...

my hypothesis is that injecting a small amount of fine cullet into the bloodstream of a small animal (e.g. a rodent) would die within less than five minutes due to the faster heart rate of smaller mammals combined with the nature of the cullet tearing up the circulatory system.

maybe if you're lucky, the blood pressure would increase until the specimen exploded, but that is unlikely.

Old techie/artist rambling moment: I remember when I had to write code to get these types of effects and now we have apps that make it so much easier. Does that make it less valid? Do premixed paints (any color other than CMYK/RYB) make paintings less valid? I have tended toward classical thought on these topics. I wrote my own script, made my own paint, even harvested bamboo to make my own brushes. I assume most artists have had moments in which they wanted complete control over their work. Part of my practice now is to allow the universe a hand in my work. It has opened up so many possibilities.
