How would I describe my sailing trip? I can definitely recommend sailing. I am very pleased and I'm looking forward to planning my next sailing trip. You will find peace, silence, crystal clear waters, privacy, endless views, drinking champagne under the moon light in a bay, looking at some extraordinary yachts (than you realise how much money there is in this world). For me it was even meditative. What you will not find: big living spaces, luxurious lifestyle, excess of water and electricity. It was a whole new experience. Sometimes I take these basic needs for granted. Because it’s there. You switch on the light and there is light. You open the tap and there is water. So simple as that. Well it’s not. You must be a little adventurous. When you reach a mini bermuda triangle, you will realise if you are adventurous or not. I clearly am not. I have to say that I am better prepared for it now. For those planning a sailing trip, I would like to suggest you that do not pre-plan the route where you will go but just follow the wind. We planned a route with the result that we only sailed for 8 hours in 10 days. If you only sail 8 hours on 10 days than you can also rent a motor boat.
