Scotty do
Niccolo Seilo ‘19
Scott Nelson was very important factor in UofD Jesuit football for all of his 4 years at the school. He was honored with the All State award his senior year and completed 164 tackles and 10 interceptions throughout his 4 years on varsity. When playing for UofD, Scott played quarterback, receiver, field goal holder, safety, running back, etc. He showed his potential to play at the next level when playing all these positions, he led his team to the playoffs two years in a row.
After lighting up the field while playing for UofD, he caught the eyes of Big Ten Colleges like Wisconsin, Michigan State, Iowa, and Michigan. After a long and hard process of picking which college he wanted to go to, he chose Wisconsin. Scott Nelson proved to colleges that he can excel in the classroom and in the community. Scott performed Senior Service Volunteering at a Detroit Homeless Shelter every week as well as sustaining high honors in the classroom. The Wisconsin Badgers are lucky to have such a talented young football player with a passion to excel in the classroom as well as the football field. Scotty’s legacy at UofD will continue to thrive at his time at Wisconsin.
