Wolf packs have pups at den sites right now and are busy hunting before returning to care for pups. It’s not uncommon for wolves to bring toys such as antlers, or bones for the pups to play with. Biologists in Yellowstone have even documented hats, traffic cones and a punctured can of bear spray at den sites!
