So I just realized that there are no posts on Tumblr under #MyLastShot (or Tumblr is censoring them from me). I’m planning on posting one, but I haven’t received my pledge sticker yet, so for now, here’s this:
#MyLastShot is a gun-violence prevention project led by students from Columbine High School and activists across the country.
I learned about this project about a day after the El Paso and Dayton shootings. That’s two shootings in under 24 hours. I read about #MyLastShot and decided, you know what? I’m in. If nobody ever sees the ugly truth of gun violence, then nothing is going to change. This shouldn’t be the case, but it is. This shouldn’t be something I have to worry about, but it is. I shouldn’t have to do this, this project shouldn’t need to exist, but it does exist because something needs to change.
I hope that now that you know this exists, you’ll consider taking this pledge and/or sharing it with those you know. I don’t control you, whoever you are, but I hope that you all will at least learn about the organization. Watch their videos, read the stories. Maybe you’ll change your mind. I don’t know.

*Edit: I found a singular post. One. One singular post. One post in this hashtag. It’s not even technically tagged this, but “#MyLastShot” is in the text of the post.
